Halloween is celebrated on 31st of October when children dress up in spooky costumes and go from one door to another to ask for candy. When someone opens the door, the children are supposed to say: "Trick or treat", so they can get candy. Since almost everyone celebrated Halloween yesterday, we did not want to feel left out so we prepared a small surprise for you. There is no better way for us than to celebrate Halloween with you by sharing some idioms that are related to this day. Halloween is also associated with spooky and scary images, witches, knives, cats, pumpkins etc. so we have chosen idioms related to that :)

3. A ghost town: an abandoned town where no one lives
4. To look daggers at: to look at someone with anger or hatred
5. To spirit away: to remove smth or someone from a place quickly, secretly and mysteriously

9. To dig one's own grave: to be responsible for the trouble one gets into
